When items are attached to an incorrect or obsolete serial record:
- Email all libraries with items attached to the wrong bibliographic record, explaining the situation.
- The cataloger reporting the issue has the option to move other libraries' items or not, but they must communicate that to the others.
- It is a good idea to make sure call numbers have the appropriate volume information (conforming to any pattern established on the other record) before moving items.
- Make sure any serial holdings records are attached to the correct record.
