In alignment with the SAC Working Group recommendation of 2016, CCS has decided to replace all illegal alien related subject headings with the recommendations by SAC as of June 7, 2021. These headings will be in 650 fields with a second indicator of 0 until the Library of Congress updates the LCSH terms. The authority records have been updated to reflect the change. When catalogers work on records with these headings, please update the records by replacing the LCSH terms with the equivalent terms in the chart below. If you do not replace the terms, the Data Services Librarian will regularly query the database for records to correct.
