Title, subtitle, or parallel title A difference in the title, or a difference in the subtitle on the chief source of information A difference in the subtitle, when neither subtitle is present on the chief source of information
Statement of responsibility A different author, translator, or other such responsible person A difference in the form of a person's name
A difference in the named reader or readers, or in the number of readers A difference in readers who are not specifically named
Edition A difference in edition of the style: "Rev. ed.," "2nd ed.," "1st American ed.," etc. A difference in edition of the style: "Library ed."
A difference in abridgement, such as abridged vs. unabridged A difference in edition for foreign language material (especially Spanish), because a word that translates as "edition" can more often mean "printing" than "edition"
Place of Publication   A difference in the place of publication
Publisher   A difference in publisher
Dates   A difference in the publication, copyright, or distribution date, if there is no indication that this represents a difference in the content
Playing Time A difference in playing time of more than 30 minutes A difference in playing time of 30 minutes or less, if there is no indication that this represents a difference in the content
Playing Speed A difference in the playback speed or the words per minute
Number of parts A difference in the number of cassettes, CDs, or other such physical parts
Series   A difference, addition, or removal of a series statement1
Content A difference in the primary content, such as a new chapter, new story, or added coverage of research, discoveries, or other such occurrences since the previous version The presence or absence of a sample chapter from another audiobook
A difference in additional material, such as foreword, afterword, commentary, or interview with the author A difference in insignificant additional material, such as a brief, promotional foreword that has no appreciable content
A difference in accompanying material that is integral to the intended usage of the item in hand or is similarly significant, including a difference in accompanying "enhanced" CD-ROM or DVD-ROM content that is integral to the item's intended usage A difference in accompanying material that is promotional or advertising in nature, seems to be intended as a free give-away, is only available on the publisher's website, or which is otherwise not integral to the intended usage of the item in hand, including an entire disc of such promotional material
A difference in the presence or absence of a page-turning signal
System Requirements A difference in the medium, such as CD, cassette, or electronic audiobook
A difference in the system requirements, such as the ability to play just the left stereo track
Standard Number   A difference in ISBN, UPC, EAN, Label number or other such standard numbers
Packaging   A difference in the cover
A difference in the type of packaging, such as a cardboard box vs. a vinyl case
