Title, subtitle, or parallel title A difference in the title, or a difference in the subtitle on the chief source of information A difference in the subtitle, when neither subtitle is present on the chief source of information
Statement of responsibility A different performer or composer or other such responsible person A difference in the form of a person's name
Edition A difference in edition of the style: explicit lyrics version or as indicated by “parental advisory” vs. [clean] version
Place of Publication   A difference in the place of publication
Publisher   A difference in publisher
Dates A difference in the date of the original recording A difference in the publication, copyright, or distribution date, if there is no indication that this represents a difference in the content
Playing Speed A difference in the playback speed, such as 45 rpm vs. 33 1/3 rpm, or a version recorded "faster" in order to fit more content on one piece
Number of parts A difference in the number of cassettes, CDs, or other such physical parts of material that is integral to the intended use of the item, such as the addition of a DVD A difference in the number of pieces caused by a piece that is only promotional or advertising in nature
A difference in significant textual accompanying material, such as a libretto, detailed liner notes, etc.
Other Physical Details A difference in the sound encoding, such as analog vs. digital
A difference in the sound channels, such as mono. vs. stereo. vs. quad.
Size Any difference in size, such as 4 3/4 in. CD vs. Mini-disc
Playing Time A difference in playing time that indicates a difference in content Presence or absence of a stated playing time
A difference in playing time related to rounding
Language Exact content recorded in a different language, such as a CD released in both English and Welsh versions
A difference in the language(s) of significant accompanying materials, such as a libretto or liner notes
Content A difference in the primary content, such as a variation in the order of contents in the actual recording or on the chief source, or the addition of bonus material A difference in the presentation on the container of the order of contents, if this does not represent a difference in the actual order of contents
A difference in accompanying material that is integral to the intended usage of the item in hand or is similarly significant, including "enhanced" CDs, or a difference in accompanying, DVD, CD-ROM or DVD-ROM content that is integral to the item's intended usage A difference in accompanying material that is promotional or advertising in nature, seems to be intended as a free give-away, is only available on the publisher's website, or which is otherwise not integral to the intended usage of the item in hand, including an entire disc of such promotional material
