Overview

Setting properties for the wizards you use most frequently can be very helpful and time saving, especially if you’d like a certain default to pop up each time.

What are they?

Properties are preset parameters used in wizard functionality which, may be stored and defined on your workstation. By setting up defaults and other settings through properties, repetitive steps can be eliminated, thus saving time and some frustration.

Properties are comprised of three areas: Behavior, Defaults, and Helpers.

Please note: Behavior and Helpers tabs only display when logged in as a supervisor. If you would like to display/change/check the Behavior or Helpers on your workstation, contact your local administrator for login assistance. Defaults display for all users and may be accessed any time.

How do I access them?

To locate properties:

  1. Right click on the wizard you want to set
  2. Scroll down and click on Properties (all the way at the bottom)
  3. You'll be presented with a screen that displays one or more of the three possible tabs--Behavior, Defaults, and Helpers.

Behavior: will allow you to select field values and which next steps and/or folders will display with a specific wizard or helper. Only displays when logged in as a supervisor.

Defaults: will let you preset field values and select what information will display with a specific wizard or helper. Displays for all staff levels.

Helpers: will let you choose which helpers will display with a specific wizard. Displays when logged in as a supervisor.

  4. Review them as needed and enable/select or disable/deselect to accomplish the desired task/function.

When you are finished setting your properties and you close out of WorkFlows, a screen will display stating "Properties have been changed. Would you like to save changes?"; answer Yes to save your changes.
