Playaway WhaZoodles

The Playaway WhaZoodle is a pre-loaded device that is described as a speaker. The content can include stories, podcasts, music, games, and exercises. The device should be cataloged according to the content on the device that is most prevalent.

Type of Material

LDR: Type of record (06): Select the code that best describes the majority of the content.

• i – Non-musical sound recording
• j – Musical sound recording

007: Category of material (00): Include two 007 fields. One will be for the electronic resource and one for sound recording.

• c – Electronic Resource
• s – Sound recording

Variable Fields

Publisher's Number (028)

Record any publisher number in an 028 field.

Example:

Title (245)

Do not include category/theme phrases like " Reading & language" as part of the title. Add as a quoted note.

Examples:

Edition statement (250)

Edition statements are necessary for identifying WhaZoodles in Bibliocore.
