The Database Management Committee reviewed recommendations from CCS regarding how this fixed field works with BiblioCore.[1] The Committee voted to continue to require the completion of the Literary Form field, while lifting the requirement that Novels are coded as Fiction. BiblioCore concept facet mapping (fiction/nonfiction) incorporates the literary form fixed field values, as well as additional bibliographic and item data such as call numbers and subject/genre headings.
