What to Expect
Services will be limited from Friday, October 16 through Tuesday, October 19 as we add these two libraries to our system. Here's what to expect:
- Checkouts: You can still check out items during this time, but you’ll need your physical library card—so make sure to bring it when you visit!
- Holds: Staff and users will be unable to place holds while the system is unavailable. Place your holds before October 16, or wait until October 20!
- Extended Due Dates: Enjoy a little extra time with your items! All due dates will be automatically extended so that nothing is due during the transition.
- Returns: Items returned between October 16 and October 19 will be checked in after October 20.
- Account Access: Account access will be limited, and account changes can't be made until October 20.
- Catalog Searching: You can search the online catalog, but results won’t be current. If you’re looking for a specific item, give us a call and we’ll check availability for you.
We appreciate your patience during this brief disruption, and are exited for the benefits it brings to our community!
Sample #3: Our Network is Growing--New Libraries join CCS!
From October 16 through October 19, the library will experience downtime as we add two new libraries into our catalog. During this time period:
- Bring your library card to the library! Library staff may not be able to look up your account to check out materials to you.
- Call the library to confirm that an item is on the shelf. Results in the online catalog may not be up to date.
- Wait to pay! You will not be able to pay fees or update your account while our system is offline.
- Place your holds before the weekend! Library staff and cardholders will not be able to place holds from October 16 through October 19.
- Keep your items a little bit longer! We will automatically extend your due dates, so that nothing is due during this period. Items returned October 16 through October 19 will not be able to be checked in until after the downtime has completed.
Thanks for your patience as we work to improve your library experience!
